About Orchard Park Public School

Ochard Park School, situated in the north of Niagara Falls, was built in 1958. The original building contained six classrooms and a Kindergarten room but the school community grew quite rapidly and in 1964 seven additional classrooms, a gymnasium, and a library were built. In 2010 the addition of a new administrative area, entrance and gymnasium as well as the renovation of the library has made Orchard Park a modern learning environment.

Today our school has an enrolment of approximately 360 students organized into 15 homeroom classes encompassing Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Our large playground area allows plenty of room for our students to be active. As well, teaching staff provides a very busy interschool sports program.

Orchard Park’s committed School Council work with staff to foster school curriculum initiatives and improvement projects.

Like all District School Board of Niagara schools Orchard Park is committed to personal growth, productive citizenship and lifelong learning for all. Our challenge is to provide opportunities for each child to learn, develop and reach his/her/their full potential in all facets of his/her/their learning. We have teachers involved in the DSBN Literacy and Numeracy Initiatives, and many more individual professional development programs.

Our school motto is "we are SMART, we are STRONG, and we can do ANYTHING!"

This year, our theme song will be "You've Got A Friend In Me" from the movie Toy Story.
