Programs / Activities
The Orchard Park staff are dedicated to providing many extra-curricular activities for your children.
Students have access to intramural sports, clubs, and league play for more competitive sports enthusiasts.
Intramurals are played by all three divisions. The primary division (grades 1-3) offers intramurals during nutrition breaks such as King's Court and soccer baseball. The junior division (grades 4-5) offers games like Touch Football and soccer. The intermediate division (grades 6-8) offers soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball and ping pong.
We offer noon hour activities such as chess club, Blue Spruce reading club, drama club, yearbook club and student council.
We offer interschool teams at our school for students from grades 4-8. Students in grades 4-6 play on the junior teams and students in grades 7-8 play on our intermediate teams. The sports offered are volleyball, basketball, curling, cross country and track and field.
Volunteerism is also a very important aspect of our activities at O.P. We have student secretaries, milk helpers, Leadership Council, a recycling club and lunch and bus monitors who make up the many volunteers at our school.
