Welcome to Orchard Park Public School!

Dinner and a Movie Night

Orchard Park’s school community has shown how much it cares about those lessfortunate than we are within our own local community time and time again this year! The staff here at Orchard Park School want to thank you for helping us instill this sense of giving and compassion in your children.

In looking more globally, we also discuss how fortunate we are to live in a country such as Canada. Thestudents at Orchard Park have access to a safe school, homes, clean water, and health care. Unfortunately, we know not all students in the world have this opportunity. Over the March Break, Ms. Robinson and Miss Quiquero will be travelling to Ensenada, Mexico as part of a team working alongside residents of the Ensenada region building safer homes for people in this community. They will also be spending some time in a school in Ensenada
.

To help raise funds for the materials needed to build these homes and share some resources with this school, we are having a movie night at OP! We will be showing a movie and having food for sale. Come in your pajamas or comfy clothes for a fun evening! Don’t forget to bring your blankets or pillows to be more comfortable during the show.
Hope to see you there!

Orchard Park is a wonderful place. The students here are provided with rich learning opportunities. Our staff is dedicated to student achievement and are always striving to ensure that our students are actively engaged in their learning.

As well as our highly competitive sports teams our students are also able to participate in some unique programs such as an intermediate trips, ECO club, Me to We club, guitar club, curling club, homework club and after school tutoring programs (run by our local high school students).

We are also extremely excited about our renovations and addition. Our current gym has been transformed into a state of the art library and computer lab. Our new addition includes a gymnasium and administrative offices. We are thrilled with the end product - come by for a visit!

At Orchard Park we have an active School Council consisting of approximately twenty parents. We count on them for support in any initiative that we may endeavor. Our parents are eager to provide their time and expertise to support our students.

Working together the staff, students and parents of the Orchard Park community continue to make Orchard Park a place where learning is fun!
